Furniture Delivery Policy

At Fonkykroft, we strive to ensure that all furniture and office equipment deliveries are handled professionally, safely, and efficiently. Due to the size, weight, and handling requirements of furniture products, separate delivery procedures and conditions apply.

1. Furniture Delivery Classification
Furniture and large office equipment deliveries are classified separately from standard courier deliveries.

Delivery availability to certain outlying or remote areas may be subject to:

4. Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery timeframes are provided as guidelines only and are not guaranteed.
While every effort will be made to deliver within the estimated timeframe, Fonkykroft shall not be held liable for delays beyond reasonable control.
5. Delivery Access Requirements
Customers are responsible for ensuring that delivery personnel can safely access the premises.
Customers must ensure:

Sufficient access for delivery vehicles

Adequate parking or unloading space

Furniture fits through entrances, hallways, elevators, and staircases

Someone authorised is available to receive the delivery

The site is safe and accessible during delivery
If delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access or unsuitable conditions, additional charges may apply.
6. Stair Carrying & Upper Floor Deliveries
Deliveries involving:

Staircases
-
Multiple floors
-
Limited lift access
-
Narrow passages
-
Heavy lifting requirements
may incur additional handling charges.
Certain items may require specialised equipment or additional manpower.
Fonkykroft reserves the right to refuse deliveries where conditions may pose a safety risk to staff, property, or the furniture being delivered.
7. Delivery Inspection
Customers must inspect all furniture upon delivery.
Any visible:

Damage

Defects
-
Missing items
-
Incorrect items
must be reported immediately before signing the delivery confirmation.
Once the delivery has been signed for as received in good condition, Fonkykroft cannot accept responsibility for visible damage reported afterwards.
8. Failed Deliveries
A delivery may be considered unsuccessful if:

No authorised recipient is available

Access cannot be obtained

Delivery instructions are incorrect

Delivery conditions are unsafe

Furniture cannot fit through access points
Failed deliveries may result in:

Re-delivery charges

Redelivery will only be arranged once all additional charges have been settled.
9. Assembly & Installation
Unless specifically stated on the quotation or invoice:

Where assembly or installation services are requested, additional fees will apply.
Customers must ensure the installation area is prepared and accessible before technicians arrive.
10. Risk & Ownership
Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon successful delivery and acceptance.
Ownership of all furniture and goods remains with Fonkykroft until full payment has been received and cleared.
11. Customer Measurement Responsibility
Customers are responsible for verifying all measurements before placing an order.
This includes ensuring that furniture can fit through:

Doors

Hallways
-
Staircases
-
Elevators
-
Office entrances
-
Building access points
Fonkykroft shall not be liable for products that cannot be moved into the customer’s premises due to insufficient measurements or access limitations.
12. Delays Beyond Our Control
Fonkykroft shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Supplier delays

Traffic disruptions

Vehicle breakdowns

Load shedding
-
Strikes or civil unrest

Extreme weather conditions

Natural disasters
In such cases, delivery schedules may be adjusted accordingly.
13. Returns & Exchanges
Furniture returns and exchanges are subject to Fonkykroft’s Returns Policy.
Custom-made, special-order, or assembled furniture may not qualify for return unless defective.
Customers are encouraged to confirm all specifications before ordering.
